Overview of Service

Community centers where older adults can get together for social activities, recreation, education, creative arts, physical health programs, and nutritious meals. Venango County Human Services, Older Adult Services (OAS), serves as the front door for the Pennsylvania Department of Aging services at the local level. OAS implements various programs and services offered to older adults in Venango County.

  • 60+

Core Components of the Service

Programs provided by senior centers offering recreational activities, leisure time, and cultural activities including: crafts, physical fitness, cultural enrichment, social skills, and discussion groups. Services are intended to maximize socialization and overcome isolation for older adults. There is no fee associated with this service. Donations are accepted for the congregate meal that is provided.
